The Samaritan
As a reminder, the Histoire de la Samaritaine began in 1870 with Ernest Cognacq. This seller sets up his small novelty business in a room near a café. Quickly, success comes and the shop expands. In 1900, Ernest Cognacq reigned over the department stores which occupied several blocks. La Samaritaine develops and evolves under the direction of its successive owners. It reached its golden age in the 1960s.
The smallest of the department stores...
...but the biggest concept store. This is how La Samaritaine sets the tone! A 20,000m2 shopping center should delight serial shoppers. La Samaritaine Paris Pont-Neuf therefore offers us what makes Paris so charming: fashion, gastronomy and the art of living!
